Situations when the on-call locum OB would be called to the hospital*: - If there is a patient with prior cesarean in labor trying to have a vaginal delivery. - To round on patients who had cesarean and on Antepartum patients only if no MFM is on call - If called by the Midwives (CNM), the Emergency Department or a consulting physician - Maternal transport from outside facility Physicians do not need to round on other OB patients being managed by the CNM or sign-off on the care the CNM are providing unless the patients fall into the categories listed above.
