A pediatric practice within a multi-specialty clinic is seeking a pediatrician for locum tenens coverage. This facility is located in Minnesota. The schedule is Monday - Friday, from 8 am - 5 pm with a rotating 1:4 call. The clinician will take part-time or only call coverage if thats all the provider can give, theyre trying to be very flexible. The call by phone for the department is likely 1 time every week or 1 time every other week (depending on vacation coverages in the department) only Monday - Friday; can have a lower patient caseload on the on-call days. There are no weekends required. Our pediatricians see anywhere from 10-to 20 patients/day, however, I would anticipate a clinician would likely see fewer patients since they wont already have an established practice. The required certifications include being board certified or BE in Pediatric and Covid vaccinated per the facility unless there is an explanation. The procedures required include Circumcisions, lumbar puncture, skin biopsies/excisions, IVs, removal of foreign bodies, injections, wound care, suturing of uncomplicated lacerations, bladder catheterization, intubation, etc. The credentialing timeline is roughly 30-45 days after the decision has been made to move forward and with a Minnesota license in hand. This can vary depending on how quickly the applicant submits paperwork to us.
