Locum Physician (MD/DO) - Obstetrics and Gynecology in Petersburg, VA - Specialty : OBGYN Hospital Location : Petersburg, VA Reason for coverage: one provider will be out for a few weeks for personal time Setting: OBGYN Hospital/Call + potential for clinic coverage. Must be willing/able to cover both to be considered for this need. If taking clinic, night call would not be required after clinic days. Dates :   * July 20, 24-26 * Aug 3, 10, 12, 17, 21-23, 31 * September: 4-6, 10,14, 18-20, 24, 28 * October: 5,12,16-18,22,26 * Nov 2, 9, 20-23, 27, 30 * Dec 7, 17, 21, 25-27, 29, 31 * Ongoing availability is needed, working through dates now.  Call ratio : 1 to 4 Total number of beds : 9 in L&D and 20 postpartum  Number of Physicians in practice : 4  Support Staff : OBHG hospitalist, surgical assistants, 3 to 4 nurses each shift  Average number of nursery admissions per day : 2 to 3 per day  Average call back per 24hr shift : less than 1, you will receive calls from answering service  EMR : EPIC  Are any specific procedures required : C-section, vaginal deliveries, suction D&C, ectopic pregnancies, ovarian torsion, abnormal bleeding. MFM will handle most high-risk patients.
