A facility is seeking an emergency medicine physician for locum tenens coverage.

The clinician will work 12-hour shifts with the support of advanced practice providers and manage an annual volume of approximately 28,000 patients. ABEM/ABEOM certification is required. The clinician will provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department, evaluating and managing acute medical conditions, injuries, and emergencies. The clinician will also conduct thorough medical assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, develop appropriate treatment plans for patients, stabilize and manage critically ill patients, including those requiring resuscitation and advanced life support interventions, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care, consult with specialists, and arrange appropriate transfers, if necessary, and adhere to established protocols and guidelines for the management of emergency cases, ensuring high-quality and evidence-based care.
