Location: Michigan (MI)

Schedule: 24-hour Call Shifts every weekend through 2024 & potentially into 2025

Call Schedule / Responsibilities:
Weekend call only, 24-hour shifts
Collaboration with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) during the day
Consults with APPs, in-person or over the phone
Independent coverage after 7pm
Call back approximately 5-8 hours per 24 hours

Job Setting: Hospital
Level 2 trauma center
Spine instrumentation cases
Required Procedures:
Spinal fusion for trauma
Craniotomy for trauma
External Ventricular Drain (EVD)
Intracranial Pressure (ICP) monitoring
Helpful Skills:
Emergency Department surgical and clinical in-house patient coverage
ICU trauma and stroke management
Preferred Experience: 5 years of neurosurgery
Neurosurgery Specialization: Spine required; aneurysm clippings not required

License Requirement: Active Michigan License

Vaccination Requirements: First 2 COVID vaccines & flu vaccine

EMR: EPIC
