Open Dates: April 26 (8a) - April 29 (8a)

1.      24-hour surgeons will have office support staff.

2.      Most after-hours calls are from the Pediatric Emergency Department.

3.      Ages of patience: Newborns to teenagers.

4.      Duties include collaborating with other pediatric providers to diagnosis and determine if surgery is necessary.

5.      Managing and performing preoperative, operative, and postoperative care.

6. 24-hour surgeons will have office support staff
Triage incoming call support
Including RX refills

7.      Full time coverage for clinic M-F(8a-5p), night call coverage M-F (8p-8a), and weekend call coverage Sat-Sun (24 hr.)

8.      Rounding for patient the locum provider has admitted and weekend surgical consults as needed. 

9.      Primarily consults from the ED approx. 0-2 calls per day.

10.   This Hospital sees approx. 8-10 per year emergency surgeries per year – not a trauma hospital.

11.   15min max call back time for emergency consult.  

12.   30min max response time 

13.   0-4 patients per day per provider

REQUIREMENTS:

- Board Certified Pediatric Surgeon - REQUIRED, no exceptions.
- VA State License & DEA - REQUIRED at time of submission.
- COVID Vaccination - Highly Preferred
- Flu Vaccine - REQUIRED at time of credentialing.

COMPENSATION:
