A well-established healthcare system in southern Louisiana is seeking a qualified OB/GYN physician for locum tenens coverage starting in mid-June.

Qualifications:

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology
• Active Louisiana medical license
• DEA certification required

Cases & Procedures: 

• Deliver comprehensive obstetrical care, including routine and a very limited number of high-risk pregnancies 
• Perform labor & deliveries, C-sections, and a variety of in-office gynecological procedures
  • Emergency privileges are available 

Schedule:

• Sporadic coverage for vacation and other coverage needs
• Night in-house call (5 pm-6 am) or 24-hour in-house call (sleep time provided)
• Mix of inpatient and outpatient care

Practice Setting:

• Join a 54-bed women's facility within an elite group of health systems 
• Collaborate with skilled professionals including neonatologists, anesthesiologists, nurse practitioners, and medical assistants
• Paragon EMR system utilized 

Location:

• Just a two-hour drive east, Houston, Texas, beckons with its booming economy, world-class museums, and exciting cultural scene
• Head two hours east to Lafayette, the heart of Cajun culture. Experience live music, delicious food, and unique festivals
• Lake Charles sits on the banks of Lacassine Lake, offering residents waterfront views and access to a variety of water activities like boating, fishing, and swimming
