This opportunity is ideal for an advanced practice provider with strong cardiology experience who is comfortable managing step-down and cardiology unit patients in a collaborative hospital setting. Assignment Details * 12-hour day shifts * Coverage needed 7 days per week * Primarily daytime coverage * Hospital-based inpatient cardiology service * EMR: Cerner Responsibilities * Round daily on patients admitted to or seen in consultation on the general cardiology service line * Manage mostly step-down and cardiology unit patients * Perform: * Daily progress notes * Event notes * Admission H&Ps * New consult notes * Discharge summaries * Order medications, diagnostic testing, and procedures as indicated * Perform ICU procedures when needed, including: * Arterial line placement * Central line placement * Cardioversion * Conduct new patient consults in collaboration with attending physicians * Work closely with cardiologists, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality patient care Requirements * Experienced Cardiology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant * Active North Carolina license required * Active North Carolina DEA required * Strong inpatient cardiology experience preferred * Comfortable performing bedside ICU procedures

The physician will primarily practice non-invasive cardiology with involvement in general cardiology services and may be assigned to provide care at additional clinical sites in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania.There may be occasions where providers are asked to rotate through these additional sites and see patients there as part of supporting access and coverage across the region, ensuring continuity of care and comprehensive cardiovascular services.In addition to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care, this role offers the option to participate in the education and training of residents, supporting the academic mission of the program.
