Locum Physician (MD/DO) - Surgery - Trauma in Midland, MI - We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a full-time locum tenens Trauma/General Surgery opportunity in Midland, Michigan. This is an ongoing inpatient assignment with a consistent 7-on/7-off night schedule and no call responsibilities. Position Highlights * Setting: Inpatient * Schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off * Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM (Monday–Sunday) * No call * Holiday coverage required only if it falls during your scheduled work week * Ongoing assignment Clinical Responsibilities * Manage inpatient admissions and consults for trauma, general surgery, and urology * Respond to Level I and Level II trauma activations * Perform admissions, history & physicals, and surgical consults * Serve as the first-call provider for inpatient surgical services, including: * General Surgery * Trauma * Orthopedics * Urology * Colorectal Surgery * Evaluate trauma and general surgery patients and collaborate with the on-call surgeon * Manage urology admissions and consults * Assist with Foley catheter troubleshooting, continuous bladder irrigation, and bedside urologic procedures * Board surgical cases as appropriate Required Procedural Skills Candidates must be proficient in: * Suturing * Central line placement * Arterial line placement * Chest tube placement Qualifications * Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with Trauma and General Surgery experience * Active Michigan license (required) * Current ACLS and ATLS certifications from the American Heart Association

Locum Physician Assistant (PA) - Surgery - Trauma in Robbinsdale, MN - We are seeking an experienced Locums Trauma Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a Level I Adult Trauma Center that also cares for pediatric patients in Robbinsdale, Minnesota. This role is ideal for an APP who thrives in a high-acuity trauma environment and is comfortable functioning as a trauma hospitalist rounder with broad clinical responsibility. Compensation: $125 Per Hour Schedule & Coverage * Shift Length: 10-hour shifts (7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.) * Call Ratio: No call – in-house coverage only Clinical Role * Primarily function as a trauma hospitalist rounder * Intermittent ED consults, trauma activations, and procedures * Opportunities for trauma critical care responsibilities for APPs with appropriate experience * No hospitalist service utilized—APP must be fully capable of managing all patient conditions independently Patient Volume * Non-ICU: 10–14 admitted patients to round on daily * ICU: Approximately 6 patients * Admissions/ED Volume: 2–15 patients per 24 hours Responsibilities * Respond to the ED for trauma alerts * Perform daily rounding and comprehensive patient management * Manage ER admissions and facilitate safe, timely discharges * Collaborate with trauma surgeons, ICU teams, nursing, and ancillary services * Document all care accurately and efficiently in Epic * Participate in guideline-based care and required non-clinical tracking expectations Preferred Procedures (not all required, but strongly preferred) * Non-invasive ventilation management (BiPAP/CPAP) * Mechanical ventilation management * Chest tube insertion * Central venous line placement * Arterial line placement * Suturing of minor lacerations Requirements * Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant * Active Minnesota license * ACLS, PALS, and ATLS required Located just outside Minneapolis, Robbinsdale offers convenient access to a major metro area while maintaining a close-knit community feel, with excellent dining, parks, and cultural amenities nearby.
