Todd started with NMR in February 2011 and is a Project Manager.  His primary role is the recruitment of locum tenens internal medicine sub specialists throughout the region as well as support in recruitment of ER physicians and midlevels.  He has been with the company since February 21, 2011 and enjoys coming to work every day.  Todd is a North Dakota native who moved to Colorado to attend the University of Colorado at Boulder.  Go Buffs!  He studied business and organizational communication.  After graduating and living in Boulder/Denver for almost 8 years, he yearned to return to his home state so that he might be closer to his family, friends, and his hometown community.  When not working, Todd enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, and hunting and fishing with family and friends.

A leading provider with a local and personal connection.

National Medical Resources is a leading locum tenens physician and nurse practitioner staffing company based in Bismarck, North Dakota. We provide excellence in locum tenens services to hospitals and facilities in the upper Midwest.

Our clients deserve personal service, timeliness, focus and attention to detail. We believe in doing it right the first time. Our approach promotes a business relationship that is founded on trust, cooperative effort, and shared responsibilities.

We recognize that our providers are desiring more freedom and control in their career, and we also recognize the challenge to recruit family practice physicians to the upper midwest. National Medical Resources can help meet both of these needs. With our foundation of knowledge and personal attention, we are able to match locum tenens physician and nurse practitioners with the best-fit facility.

It is a great pleasure to recommend National Medical Resources and, more specifically, Mr. Todd Ternes, the project manager, with whom I have worked exclusively for nearly two years. He called me on the phone one day serendipitously, and literally created an excellent career opportunity for me as a locum tenens Gastroenterologist. We have worked closely together as he established my role at two different institutions, one of which has turned into a long term assignment that I highly value. His personality, capabilities, and style are much different than the recruiters from the larger agencies that seem to dominate the locums market. He handles everything himself, is easily accessible, ready to deal with any issue, and is highly effective, sincere, and conscientious. He has an excellent understanding of the processes of licensure and credentialing etc. He possesses superior communication skills, an experienced understanding of the political nuances of situations, a pleasant, intelligent demeanor, and a high level of knowledge of various areas in different medical specialties. He also is a quick study, listens patiently, and is open to learn regarding issues specific to the different fields of medicine. His actions and effectiveness are based on a philosophy that arises from a high level of respect for doctors as individuals, the medical profession in general, and an honest, positive professionalism, that seeks to balance the interests of both his physician and organizational clients. I know of several physicians and other providers who have greatly benefited from his skill, personalized attention and persistence.
