Locum Physician (MD/DO) - Physical Medicine in New York - 📍  Location: Canandaigua, New York 🕒 Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM 📅 Start: April 2026 (or ASAP once credentialed) 📄 Contract: Locum Assignment | ~6 Months with Possible Extension   🏥 Position Overview We are seeking a Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) Physician with Pain Management expertise for an outpatient locum opportunity in Canandaigua, New York . This role focuses on ambulatory pain management care , providing interventional procedures and non-surgical treatment options for patients experiencing acute and chronic pain conditions. The physician will primarily work in an outpatient clinic setting , with occasional coverage at a nearby procedural site .   👨‍⚕️ Eligible Provider ✔️ MD / DO – Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation ✔️ Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pain Management ✔️ Active New York Medical License Required ✔️ BLS Certification Required ✔️ Minimum 1–2 years post-fellowship experience   🔎 Key Responsibilities 🩻 Evaluate and treat patients with chronic and acute pain conditions 💉 Perform interventional pain management procedures 📋 Develop and manage comprehensive treatment plans 🤝 Coordinate care with clinical and support staff 💻 Document care using the EPIC EMR system   💉 Common Procedures Performed Providers should be comfortable performing: ✔️ Epidural Steroid Injections (Cervical, Thoracic, Lumbar) ✔️ Medial Branch Blocks (MBB) ✔️ Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA) ✔️ Peripheral Nerve Blocks ✔️ Trigger Point Injections ✔️ Sacroiliac Joint Injections ✔️ Spinal Cord Stimulator Trials ✔️ Genicular Nerve Blocks & RFA ✔️ Intercostal Nerve Blocks ✔️ Piriformis Injections   🏥 Practice Environment 🏥 Outpatient pain management clinic 👩‍⚕️ Support staff available (Secretary and LPN during clinic days) 🩺 Ambulatory patient population 💻 EPIC Electronic Medical Record system   📅 Schedule & Coverage 📆 Monday – Friday schedule ⏰ 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM shifts 📞 Office call only (after hours & weekends) 📍 Primary coverage at ambulatory clinic 📍 Occasional procedural coverage at Clifton Springs OR   ⚠️ Important Requirements 📑 Active New York license required prior to start 💻 Recent EPIC experience required 🚑 BLS certification required   ✨ Additional Highlights 🏥 Opportunity to work in a well-established spine and pain center 🤝 Collaborative environment with dedicated clinical staff 📅 Long-term locum assignment with extension potential 🌆 Located in Canandaigua, part of the scenic Finger Lakes region of New York   ✨ Interested in learning more or submitting a candidate?
