Locum Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Pediatrics - Critical Care in Pennsylvania - We are seeking an Acute Care Certified Pediatric Critical Care Medicine Nurse Practitioner for a 40-day assignment starting Oct 5, 2026, in Pennsylvania. This role involves working 12-hour shifts, available for either AM or PM, within a Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, providing specialized care for critically ill pediatric patients. Responsibilities and Duties * Provide acute care as an Acute Care Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner within a Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. * Work 12-hour shifts, with AM and PM options available. * Manage a patient load of 4-8 patients per APP. * Perform procedures including arterial, central venous, and chest tube placement, endotracheal intubation, and lumbar punctures. * Collaborate with a team of APPs within a 38-bed Peds CICU. Additional Information * Board Certification: Acute Care Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP-AC). * EMR: Epic. * Shift Hours: 12 Hours In House, AM or PM. * ECMO experience is not required. This role involves 12-hour shifts (AM or PM) within a Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, where you will manage 4-8 patients and perform procedures such as arterial, central venous, and chest tube placement, endotracheal intubation, and lumbar punctures. Our client is looking for a professional who is acute care certified to provide high-quality patient care in a busy unit. Responsibilities and Duties * Provide care within a Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (PCICU). * Work 12-hour shifts, with both AM and PM availability. * Manage a patient load of 4-8 patients per advanced practice provider (APP). * Perform procedures including arterial, central venous, and chest tube placement, endotracheal intubation, and lumbar punctures. * Collaborate with a team of 4 APPs during day shifts and 3 APPs during night shifts in a PCICU.
