Locum Physician (MD/DO) - Pain Medicine in Charlotte, NC - JOB OVERVIEW * Profession: Physician * Specialty: Pain Management – Interventional Anesthesiologist * Job Type: Locum Tenens * Location: South Carolina * Service Setting: Outpatient Interventional Pain Management Clinic / In-Office Procedure Suite * Coverage Type: Clinical Procedures Only * Start Date: As soon as credentialed (approximately 1 week) * Contract Length: 3 months, with the option to extend * Coverage Needed: 4–6 shifts per month * Monday – Thursday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM & 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM * Friday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM PATIENT INFORMATION * Patient Population: Adult patients with acute and chronic pain conditions * Patient Volume: High-volume procedural practice (approximately 25–30 procedures per day) * Clinical Focus: 100% interventional pain procedures * New Patients: None * Follow-Up Visits: None * Medication Management: Not required for this assignment * Practice Scope: Procedure-only role in an outpatient setting FACILITY INFORMATION * Outpatient interventional pain management practice with over 25 years of experience * Multiple clinic locations throughout South Carolina * Fully equipped in-office procedure suite * Fluoroscopy and radiofrequency (RF) generator available onsite * EMR: eClinicalWorks PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE * Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 1 week * South Carolina medical license required before credentialing can begin * Client is willing to assist with licensing * Providers must be comfortable working within strict pain management compliance protocols REQUIRED PROCEDURES * Cervical Epidural Steroid Injections * Thoracic Epidural Steroid Injections * Lumbar Epidural Steroid Injections * Facet Joint Blocks * Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA) * Sacroiliac (SI) Joint Injections * Peripheral Joint Injections * Spinal Cord Stimulator Trials * Kyphoplasty * Stellate Ganglion Blocks * Celiac Plexus Blocks * Lumbar Sympathetic Blocks * Superior Hypogastric Plexus Blocks * Ganglion Impar Blocks * Gasserian Ganglion Blocks * Occipital Nerve Blocks * Fluoroscopy-guided interventional pain procedures JOB REQUIREMENTS * Active South Carolina medical license (required before credentialing) * Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology or Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) * Interventional Pain Fellowship training preferred DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES * Perform high-volume outpatient interventional pain procedures * Utilize fluoroscopy and specialized procedural equipment safely and effectively * Maintain accurate documentation within eClinicalWorks * Collaborate with nursing and procedural support staff * Deliver high-quality patient care while maintaining procedural efficiency * Adhere to all practice protocols and regulatory compliance standards * Contribute to a collaborative, patient-centered clinical environment
