Locum Physician (MD/DO) - Otolaryngology in Worcester, MA - A leading healthcare system in Worcester, Massachusetts is seeking a Locums Adult and Pediatric ENT Physician to provide weekend call coverage for a busy otolaryngology service. This opportunity offers 100% call coverage with no clinic responsibilities and the potential for assignment extension beyond the initial coverage period. The ideal candidate is experienced in both adult and pediatric ENT care, comfortable managing surgical emergencies and trauma cases, and able to work collaboratively with resident support staff in a hospital-based setting. Position Details * Assignment Dates: August – September 2026 * Potential for extension beyond initial assignment * Coverage Requirement: Two weekends per month * Schedule: * Friday at 4:00 PM through Monday at 6:00 AM * Practice Setting: Hospital-Based * Coverage Type: 100% On-Call * Clinic Responsibilities: None * On-Site Call: Yes * Surgical Coverage: Yes Clinical Responsibilities * Provide weekend call coverage for adult and pediatric ENT patients * Evaluate and manage ENT emergencies and inpatient consultations * Provide surgical coverage as needed * Respond to trauma-related ENT cases * Collaborate with emergency medicine physicians, hospitalists, surgeons, and resident physicians * Perform bedside procedures and operative interventions when clinically indicated * Maintain accurate and timely documentation Required Procedures Candidates should be comfortable performing: * Cerumen removal * Diagnostic laryngoscopy * Diagnostic nasal endoscopy * Excision of tongue fold lesions * Emergency ENT evaluations and interventions * Trauma-related ENT care Qualifications * MD or DO required * Board Certified or Board Eligible in Otolaryngology * Experience treating both adult and pediatric patients * Trauma experience required * Active Massachusetts medical license required * Due to time-sensitive coverage needs, providers must already possess an active Massachusetts license * DEA registration required #AAS
