Skills: * In-depth knowledge of obstetrics and gynecology, including pregnancy, childbirth and women’s health conditions. * Strong clinical judgment and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced environment. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Technical proficiency in performing gynecological exams, ultrasounds and surgical procedures. * Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for surgical procedures. * Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to adapt quickly to changing patient conditions, often in high-stress environments. * Time management and organizational skills to manage a patient workload effectively. * Empathy and compassion for patients during sensitive medical situations. Minimum Education Requirements: * Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school. * Residency training program in obstetrics and gynecology accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA). License & Certifications: * Board certification in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) or the AOA. * Active and unrestricted medical license in Texas. Experience Requirements: * While specific requirements may vary, most locum OB/GYN positions prefer candidates with at least one year of experience providing obstetric and gynecological care in a clinical or hospital setting.
