Locum Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Nurse Practitioner in Dothan, AL - VHS is seeking a FT Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner for a nocturnist position with SoutheastHealth in   Hospital employed Hospitalist group seeks Nurse Practitioners with Acute Care experience to join our robust, rapidly growing Hospitalist team. Southeast Health is a 420-bed regional referral and Level II trauma center. We manage our own Hospitalist program. The current practice includes 30 full-time board certified Internal Medicine Hospitalist physicians. Daily, 12 physicians and a CRNP work the 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. shift and 3 physicians and a CRNP provide care during the 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. shift. Average daily census is 15–20 patients per physician provider and 8–10 patients per provider at night. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of one year Acute Care experience as a Nurse Practitioner. Practice Highlights: * Provide coverage for unassigned patients who present to ED requiring inpatient care, care for transfers, and in hospital consults * Admit and co-manage with Intensivist support adult patients in critical care * 24/7 Pulm/Critical Care support for all CC admissions * Manage patients in Clinical Decision Unit * 24 hour subspecialty support available for all specialties including presence of in house Radiology physician 24/7 * 12-hour work shifts, 7p-7a * No call required * 7 on/7 off rotation Benefits Include: * Paid interviewing expenses * A commencement bonus and relocation expense allowance * Competitive salary dependent on experience with comprehensive benefits package that includes but is not limited to dental/health insurance, malpractice, vacation, CME and retirement * Allowance for licensing and professional fees * Paid time off for illness and vacation
