Quick Facts * Location: Springfield, OH (100 Medical Center Drive, ZIP 45504) * Start Date: 05/28/2026 * Duration: Ongoing at least 2 months, with sporadic coverage afterward * Shift: Call coverage, schedule as needed * Hours/week: Variable, based on call needs * Employment Type: Temporary/Locum * Licenses/Certifications: Ohio medical license, Board Certified/Eligible in Surgery, Cardiothoracic/Vascular * Experience: Prior experience in cardiothoracic and vascular surgeries required Pay & Benefits * Pay Rate: $19.50 per hour * Pay Schedule: Weekly via direct deposit * Benefits: * Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) * Robust referral bonus program * Paid sick time in accordance with applicable laws * Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable What You’ll Do * Provide call coverage for adult cardiothoracic and vascular surgeries at a full-service hospital * Perform procedures including coronary artery bypass, valve repairs/replacements, aneurysm repairs, lung resections, and thoracic surgeries * Manage ventilation and airway issues, including bronchoscopy and acute blood pressure evaluation * Assist with general cardiovascular/vascular surgeries and congenital defect repairs * Collaborate with onsite lab and imaging services, utilizing the EPIC system for documentation What You Need Required: * Ohio medical license and current Board certification/eligibility in Surgery (Cardiothoracic/Vascular) * Experience in performing complex cardiothoracic and vascular procedures * Ability to handle call responsibilities independently Preferred: * Prior experience in a hospital setting with acute care responsibilities About the Assignment: Join a top healthcare team at Bon Secours Mercy Health Springfield Regional Medical Center, a full-service facility with 250 beds and 60 ICU beds.
