The ideal candidate will have strong cardiothoracic surgery experience, including first assisting in the operating room and endoscopic or open vein harvesting. Assignment Details * Practice Setting: Hospital * Coverage: 24-Hour On-Call * EMR: Epic Responsibilities * First assist in a variety of cardiothoracic surgical procedures. * Perform endoscopic and/or open vein harvesting. * Provide perioperative management of cardiothoracic surgery patients. * Participate in 24-hour call coverage, including overnight phone consultations and emergent operative cases. * Evaluate patients, assist with preoperative and postoperative care, and collaborate closely with the cardiothoracic surgery team. * Maintain timely and accurate documentation in Epic. Qualifications * Board-Certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner. * Active Nebraska PA or NP license. * Current BLS and ACLS certifications preferred. * Extensive cardiothoracic surgery experience required. * Demonstrated proficiency as a first assist in cardiothoracic procedures. * Experience performing vein harvesting is required.
