Locum Physician (MD/DO) - Cardiology - Interventional - $425 per hour in Saint Louis, MO - Position Overview Join a highly respected cardiovascular program in Missouri offering an exceptional opportunity for an Interventional Cardiologist seeking a long-term locum assignment. This hospital-based practice combines weekday procedural coverage with negotiable STEMI call and provides exposure to a broad spectrum of interventional cardiology cases. Physicians will practice within a regional cardiovascular network serving patients across both Missouri and Illinois while enjoying a consistent weekday schedule, travel and lodging provided, and one of the strongest compensation packages currently available for comparable Interventional Cardiology locum assignments. Assignment Highlights * Pay Ranking: Top 5–10% Nationally * Provider Pay: $425/hour * Start as soon as credentialed (approximately 90-day credentialing) * Initial 13-week assignment with ongoing extension potential * Three physicians needed * Monday–Friday schedule * 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM * One weekday night of STEMI call per week (negotiable) * One weekend of STEMI call per month (negotiable) * Full-time preferred * PRN providers considered * Call-only physicians cannot be considered * Hospital-based Interventional Cardiology practice * Epic and MEDITECH EMR * Travel and lodging provided * All orientation hours billable * STEMI call responsibilities include coverage for both the Missouri hospital and the affiliated Illinois sister hospital * Active Missouri and Illinois medical licenses required * Client is not willing to obtain additional state licensure Job Responsibilities * Inpatient cardiology consultations * Hospital rounding * Cardiac catheterizations * Coronary interventions (PCI) * STEMI interventions * Temporary pacemaker placement * Transthoracic echocardiography * Transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) * Nuclear stress testing * Exercise stress testing * Emergency Department consults * Weekend inpatient rounding during call * Shared STEMI coverage for both Missouri and Illinois facilities

This opportunity offers a highly competitive hourly rate, Monday–Friday procedural schedule, low-volume call coverage, modern IR suites, Epic EMR, and a broad spectrum of advanced interventional procedures.
