Quick Facts * Location: Petersburg, VA — 200 Medical Park Boulevard, Petersburg, VA 23805 * Start Date: 05/01/2026 * Duration: May-July, with potential for ongoing coverage * Shift: Hospital shifts, including call (night and day), specific dates vary * Hours per Week: Varies based on coverage needs * Employment Type: Locum/Temporary * License/Certifications: Required VA medical license or ability to expedite, DEA, ACLS, BLS * Experience: Previous OB/GYN practice experience preferred Pay & Benefits * Hourly Rate: $19.50/hour * Additional Compensation: Overtime, holiday pay (1.5x), on-call bonuses, callback pay, and conversion bonus up to $25,000 * Benefits: * Competitive pay packages * Weekly pay schedule via direct deposit * Medical benefits (W-2) * Robust referral bonus program * Paid sick time in accordance with applicable laws * Licensure, travel, and certification reimbursements when eligible What You’ll Do * Provide OB/GYN hospital coverage including labor and delivery, postpartum, and emergency cases * Perform c-sections, vaginal deliveries, suction D&C, and manage ectopic pregnancies and ovarian torsion * Collaborate with high-risk pregnancy team (MFM) for complex cases * Cover call shifts with a low callback rate, supporting patient care in a 9-bed L&D unit * Maintain documentation in EMR (EPIC) efficiently and accurately * Support bedside patient care, rounding, and acute interventions as needed * Participate in hospital team efforts for patient safety and quality care What You Need * Active VA medical license (or eligibility for temporary credentialing) * BC/BE in Obstetrics and Gynecology * Minimum 2 years of clinical OB/GYN experience * Ability to perform high-risk obstetric procedures * Strong communication and teamwork skills * Willingness to cover both hospital and outpatient clinic duties (if needed) About the Assignment Join a dedicated team at a leading hospital in Petersburg, Virginia, providing vital OB/GYN services to a diverse patient population.
