JOB DETAILS * Position: Emergency Medicine Physician * Employment Type: Locum tenens * Setting: Emergency Department * Location: Texas City, TX 77591 * Start Date: 10/18/2026 * Duration: 12 weeks * Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts * Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week * Weekly Estimated Pay: $5,780 - $6,850 * Openings: 4 * Orientation: 2 shadow shifts EMERGENCY MEDICINE PHYSICIAN REQUIREMENTS * Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Medicine experience required * Board certification in Emergency Medicine preferred; strong experienced providers may be considered * Comfort working independently in a busy emergency department * Ability to manage a high-volume, fast-paced patient environment * Competency with common ED procedures, including intubation, procedural sedation, fracture reduction/splinting, chest tube placement, CPR, suture repair, I&D, and central line placement * Excellent clinical judgment and strong communication skills RESPONSIBILITIES * Provide high-quality emergency care for a broad range of acute medical and traumatic presentations * Evaluate and treat patients presenting with chest pain, abdominal pain, shortness of breath, falls, MVC-related injuries, and sports injuries * Perform essential emergency procedures as needed to stabilize and treat patients * Work efficiently in a high-volume setting with an average daily census of 55-60 patients * Deliver care during both day and night coverage on a rotating schedule * Collaborate with the ED team to support safe, timely, and effective patient care WHY APPLY FOR THIS TEXAS EMERGENCY MEDICINE LOCUM TENENS JOB? * Competitive weekly estimated pay * Flexible locum tenens emergency medicine coverage * Strong clinical support in a busy emergency department * Convenient Gulf Coast location near Houston, Texas Apply now to join this Emergency Medicine Physician locum tenens opportunity in Texas City, TX.
