Locum Physician (MD/DO) - Obstetrics and Gynecology in Johnstown, PA - OBGYN 24hr Call Coverage 7a-7a, to include up to 4 hours daily rounding. In-House Call: NO Dates: June 18, 22 July 7, 8, 10, 13 Ongoing Physician is not required to be on-site while providing Call Support. Situations when the on-call locum OB would be called to the hospital*: - If there is a patient with prior cesarean in labor trying to have a vaginal delivery. - To round on patients who had cesarean and on Antepartum patients only if no MFM is on call - If called by the Midwives (CNM), the Emergency Department or a consulting physician - Maternal transport from outside facility Physicians do not need to round on other OB patients being managed by the CNM or sign-off on the care the CNM are providing unless the patients fall into the categories listed above. CNM have prescribing authority and can oversee deliveries with epidurals. The physician would not need to oversee or sign off (other than the anesthesiologist). Expectations of amount of time in the hospital: The average call back from the CNM or ED is variable and depends on the circumstances.
