Minimum Education Requirements: * Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree focused on an NP specialty (e.g., family practice, adult-gerontology, pediatrics). License & Certifications: * Active and unencumbered advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) license in Rhode Island. * National certification as an NP in a relevant specialty area by a recognized certifying body (e.g., American Academy of Nurse Practitioners [AANP]). Experience: * While specific requirements may vary, most locum NP positions prefer candidates with at least one year of experience in a clinical setting relevant to their specialty.
