About the Clinician's Workday

The trauma surgeon will provide 24-hour and in-house call coverage in an inpatient setting at a Level 1 Trauma, 465-bed facility in Arizona. Clinicians are required to maintain on-site availability throughout each assigned call period to respond to trauma activations and surgical cases. NP/PA support staff are available to assist with clinical operations during the coverage period. The position provides coverage for a Level I Trauma Service and Acute Care Surgery program, delivering comprehensive care for critically injured and emergency surgical patients. Call coverage is provided in-house and follows a rotating schedule, with providers alternating between Primary Call and Backup Call every other day to ensure continuous patient coverage and timely response to trauma and acute surgical needs.
