We are seeking an experienced Oncology Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens assignment in Santa Clara, California. This role offers the chance to support a busy oncology practice while working alongside physicians, RNs, and LVNs in a patient-focused environment. • Weekly Estimated Pay: $3,640-$4,310
• Location: Santa Clara, California
• Setting: Clinic coverage and infusion center
• Start Date: 9/14/2026
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
• Shifts per Week: 5
• Shift Duration: 8 hour days
• Hours per Week: 40
• Call: No call required
• Patient Volume: Approximately 10-15 patients per day, with 2-4 seen in person in the infusion center
• EMR: Epic

Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of Oncology Nurse Practitioner experience required
• Board Certification in Oncology or Hematology required
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association required
• Current ACLS certification through the American Heart Association required
• Active California Nurse Practitioner license preferred; licensing candidates will be considered
• Fluoroscopy experience preferred
• Vaccination preferred; waivers may be considered

Responsibilities

• Provide oncology support in both clinic and infusion center environments
• Manage blood work, IV-related care, hydration, medication orders, and chemotherapy orders
• Respond to patient calls and address clinical questions in a timely manner
• Assist with infusion center patient needs while collaborating closely with nursing staff
• Perform infusion triage, in-basket coverage, and emergency room triaging support as needed
• Evaluate and assist patients presenting in person within the infusion center
• Collaborate with oncologists, RNs, and LVNs to ensure coordinated patient care
• Document accurately and efficiently within Epic
