• Schedule: 24-hour call coverage, approximately 6–7 shifts per month with potential for additional shifts
• Shift Duration: 12-hour days
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $5,870–$6,950
• Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 90 days, with expedited consideration based on need

Job Requirements

• Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Active Kentucky medical license or active IMLC required
• BLS required
• DEA required
• At least 1 year of OBGYN clinical experience required
• Comfortable providing hospital call coverage in a labor and delivery setting
• Experience with EPIC documentation preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide locum tenens OBGYN coverage for inpatient labor and delivery needs
• Manage routine vaginal deliveries and low-forceps deliveries
• Support decision-making for C-sections and perform complicated delivery care as needed
• Handle breech presentations, multiple births, abruptions, and other high-acuity obstetric cases
• Perform VBAC assessments and participate in related delivery planning
• Repair third- and fourth-degree lacerations
• Provide in-house and beeper/phone call coverage as scheduled
• Collaborate with midwives and support a low-volume, high-quality maternity care environment
• Document patient care accurately in EPIC
