We are currently recruiting a Physician | Neurology - Behavioral for a prominent medical center in Detroit, MI.

Job Description

  • the facility Hospital in Detroit is seeking a full-time Behavioral/Cognitive Neurologist to join our exceptional Neurology team. Dates of Coverage: Target start date: Fall of 2026 but willing to wait until the start of 2027 for the right candidate Schedule: Full-time Monday-Friday Call Coverage: Night call one to two calls per month (weekend call is 1-2 times/annually) Reason for Coverage: Replacement- an interim provider is covering until they can find the right replacement Practice Setting(s): Clinic Leadership Position/Required to Teach: Yes Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric % Outpatient vs Inpatient: 100% OP Average # of Patients Per Day: 6-8 Trauma Level Designation: Level I Required Duties, Procedures, Skills, etc: Provide leadership to the team clinically and research Provide educational support for Graduate Medical Education Further develop the established Center for Cognitive Health Provide patient care EMR/Documentation: EPIC
  • The Division Head will assume the Paul C
  • Alandt Endowed Chair of Behavioral Neurology - support efforts towards reducing the burden of dementia and related neurodegenerative conditions.
  • Clinical research: we are active in clinical trials and neurology research
  • All centers within the the facility Neuroscience Institute conduct research, with a major focus on translational research to fast-track scientific discovery from bench to bedside.
  • A teaching/mentoring role: with medical students, neurology residents, and behavioral neurology fellows.
  • A tenure-track academic appointment: available for those who qualify, through Michigan State University
  • College of Human Medicine and Medicine and Wayne State School of Medicine

Compensation and Benefits
