About the Position

Position Overview 

A leading regional healthcare system in North Carolina is seeking a Fellowship-Trained Orthopaedic Surgeon for an urgent weekend locum tenens opportunity providing beeper call coverage.

This assignment features a highly desirable call model where an experienced Physician Assistant manages first-call responsibilities, allowing the physician to focus primarily on operative cases and higher-acuity consultations. There are no clinic responsibilities, providing an excellent opportunity to supplement an existing practice with premium weekend coverage.

Additional recurring weekend coverage opportunities are anticipated beyond this initial Labor Day assignment.

Provider Compensation

• $3,250 per 24-hour beeper call
• Includes the first 2 callback hours
• $400/hour callback after included hours

Pay Ranking: Top 10% nationally for comparable Orthopaedic Surgery beeper call assignments.
