Job Requirements

• At least 1-2 years of experience in an inpatient neurosurgery setting
• Strong inpatient neurosurgery clinical skills required
• Strong pre-op and post-op patient care experience
• California Physician Assistant license required
• California DEA with Schedule II/II-N privileges required
• Board certification required: ACNP-BC, AGACNP-BC, ACNPC-AG, or ACNPC
• BLS certification required from AHA
• Must be comfortable supporting adult crani and skull-based surgical patients
• Availability to complete credentialing requirements in a timely manner

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient support for a neurosurgery service focused on crani and skull-based surgical patients
• Manage post-operative follow-ups and clinic visits with attending support as needed
• Assist with clinic procedures when requested
• Perform inpatient procedures such as drain removal and lumbar punctures as appropriate
• Handle outpatient tasks including stitch removal and shunt-related care
• Support patient message follow-up and communication
• Collaborate with surgeons, RNs, MAs, and other APPs to deliver high-quality care
