Job Requirements

• Board certification required
• Active North Carolina medical license
• Active North Carolina DEA with NC address
• Medicare/Medicaid credentialing and PECOS enrollment required
• NPI number must be included with submission
• Provider must be vaccinated
• Minimum 1 year of orthopedic surgery experience preferred
• Experience with trauma, fractures, and urgent orthopedic procedures
• Required certifications: ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS

Responsibilities

• Provide general orthopedic surgery coverage with 24-hour call responsibility
• Manage consults, emergency department evaluations, admissions, and operative cases
• Perform procedures including closed reductions, fracture care, and I&D when indicated
• Handle a range of orthopedic cases such as wrist, ankle, hip fractures, and trauma-related stabilization
• Support patient care in a busy hospital environment throughout the coverage period
• Remain within 20 minutes of the hospital while on call
• Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure timely orthopedic coverage
