Job Details

• Position: Locum Tenens Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician
• Location: Henderson, North Carolina
• Setting: On-site hospital-based practice
• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: 13 weeks with ongoing coverage needs
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $5,870 - $6,950
• Patient Volume: Approximately 10 patient encounters per shift
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS required
• Board Status: Board certified or board eligible

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in obstetrics and gynecology preferred
• Experience providing both routine and complicated OB/GYN care
• Ability to perform obstetric ultrasounds, amniocentesis, routine deliveries, C-sections, and VBAC management
• Skill in office and minor gynecology procedures such as IUD placement, colposcopy, cryosurgery, and LEEP
• Experience with surgical gynecology, including laparoscopic and operative cases
• Strong clinical judgment in low-risk pregnancy management and delivery decision-making
• Ability to meet privileging, credentialing, and background screening requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care across inpatient and procedural settings
• Manage low-risk pregnancies and support routine prenatal care
• Perform and interpret obstetric ultrasounds, including screening and targeted studies
• Conduct deliveries, assist with complex obstetric cases, and make C-section decisions when indicated
• Complete gynecologic procedures and surgical cases as needed
• Deliver timely, high-quality women’s health care for an estimated 10 patient encounters per shift
