About the Position
Our client in Louisiana is seeking an experienced Neonatologist for a 90-day assignment beginning Aug 3, 2026. This role involves comprehensive care within a NICU, managing diverse acuity and a variety of cases. You will collaborate with a dedicated team of Neonatologists and NNPs, providing home call after rounds, participating in newborn nursery rounds, and supporting an NNP-led transport team. Specific shift hours are to be determined.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide comprehensive care in a NICU, managing diverse acuity and a variety of cases.
- Collaborate within a 2 Neonatologist / 4 NNP model, with NNPs providing 24 hours a day in-house support.
- Manage home call responsibilities for Neonatologists after rounds.
- Conduct newborn nursery rounds.
- Support the NNP-led transport team, covering in-house during transports.
- Contribute to a collegial, evidence-based team focused on quality-driven protocols and continuous improvement in neonatal care.
