About the Position

Anesthesiologist

Location: Pennsylvania
Schedule: 10 hour day shifts required. 24 hour call coverage is preferred, with additional weeknight and weekend pager call required as outlined in the order details.

Position Overview
Provide anesthesiology coverage in a small community hospital setting in a medical direction model with high orthopedic volume. Proficiency with peripheral nerve blocks is required. This assignment may include day coverage plus call coverage as outlined in the order details.

Clinical Scope

• Medical direction model with supervision ratios up to 1 to 4
• Ambulatory focused case mix including general and orthopedic cases
• No OB, trauma, cardiac, or thoracic cases as outlined in the order details
• Peripheral nerve block proficiency required due to orthopedic volume
• EMR: Epic
• Responsibilities include pre anesthesia assessment, discussing anesthetic options and risks, induction, maintenance, emergence, physiologic monitoring, and clinical interventions as needed

Required Qualifications

• MD or DO
• Board certified in Anesthesiology
• Active Pennsylvania medical license required to present
• Completion of an approved anesthesia residency

Additional Requirements

• Provider must reside more than 60 miles from the worksite
• Compact licenses are not accepted; an active Pennsylvania license is required to present

Credentialing

• Estimated privileging timeframe is approximately 180 days, with potential accelerated privileges for urgent coverage needs as outlined in the order details
