About the Position

CRNA

Location: Connecticut
Schedule: 8 hour day shifts. Standard shift time is 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Overtime may be available when cases run late. No call required (optional call may be available).

Position Overview
Provide CRNA coverage in a care team model with physician anesthesiologist supervision. This role supports multiple anesthesia sites and a broad surgical case mix as outlined in the order details.

Clinical Scope

  • Supervision ratio: approximately 1 physician to 2 to 3 CRNAs
  • Case mix includes general and colorectal, obstetrics and gynecology, urology, orthopedics, cataracts, pacemakers, cardioversions, TEE, and GI
  • No heads or neuro, no trauma, and no open hearts
  • Pediatric cases are not required for locums CRNAs as outlined in the order details
  • Charting: paper
Required Qualifications
  • Current license as a registered professional nurse
  • Graduation from a nurse anesthesia education program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs
  • Current certification or recertification through the AANA Council on Certification or Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists, or eligibility as outlined in the order details
  • Active Connecticut license required to present
Credentialing
  • If Connecticut license is already in hand: typically 30 to 60 days
  • If a Connecticut license is needed: typically 60 to 120 days
