Locum Nurse Practitioner – Cardiac Rehabilitation | Texas
August 3, 2026 Start | 18-Week Assignment | Maternity Leave Coverage
Seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide 18 weeks of maternity leave coverage in a Cardiac Rehabilitation program. Start August 3, 2026 for orientation and training prior to the September 11 leave.
Schedule
- August 3, 2026 start
- 18-week assignment
- Monday–Friday
- 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Average volume:
- 16 follow-up patients/day (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday)
- 2–4 new patient intakes/day (Tuesday, Friday)
Responsibilities
- Conduct cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with the Medical Director
- Monitor patients during rehabilitation and respond to adverse events
- Coordinate care with physicians, exercise physiologists, respiratory therapists, and rehab staff
- Document patient care and ensure CMS compliance
- Provide patient education and ongoing clinical management
Requirements
- Texas NP license (Family NP or Acute Care NP)
- Master's Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Unit or Telemetry experience
- BLS & ACLS required
- Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred
