Requirements CHRISTUS Good Shepherd Emergency Center – Marshall, TX (EM) Board Requirements Accepts ABEM, AOBEM, and ABFMABFM physicians must have at least 2 years of ED experience at facilities with annual volumes of 10,000+Alternative boards not acceptedEM or FM residency trained required Certifications ATLS and ACLS required for non-boarded EM and FM physiciansEM boarded physicians do not need to maintain ATLS once boardedInitial ATLS required for EM boarded physicians but does not need to be current Coverage Model Physician Coverage: Average 25 MD hours/dayAPP Coverage: Average 11.43 NPPA hours/day Physician Shifts Monday: 7a–3p, 2p–10p, 9p–7aTuesday–Friday & Sunday: 7a–2:30p, 2p–9:30p, 9p–7aSaturday: 7a–2p, 2p–9p, 9p–7aLocums may work 12-hour shifts when operationally needed. APP Shifts Sunday–Wednesday: 10a–10pThursday–Friday: 10a–9pSaturday: 11a–9p Onboarding Requirements On-site hospital orientation requiredEpic test-out available for Epic-proficient providersEpic training required if proficiency cannot be demonstratedCompletion of Genesis modulesFit test requiredOB Hypertension and Postpartum Hemorrhage training required via UpToDate Credentialing Requirements Hepatitis B series or titerMMR series or titerTdap within last 10 yearsVaricella series or titerTB testing within last yearFlu vaccine required during flu season Note Marshall and Kilgore are part of the same hospital system.Candidates must be willing to work at both locations.
