Position Overview $9,000 per day*

Join one of South Carolina's premier pediatric healthcare programs as a Pediatric Gastroenterologist providing recurring weekend inpatient coverage. This long-term locum opportunity offers predictable weekly scheduling, manageable patient volumes, and the opportunity to practice exclusively at one hospital without traveling between facilities.

The service functions primarily as an inpatient pediatric GI consult service with relatively low overnight procedure volume. Weekend endoscopy is performed only when clinically necessary, allowing physicians to focus on high-quality consultative care while maintaining an excellent work-life balance during scheduled coverage.

• 48-week locum assignment
• Weekly recurring weekend schedule
• Friday 3:00 PM – Monday 7:00 AM
• Schedule may be adjusted slightly by mutual agreement
• One hospital only
• No Baptist coverage
• No Parkridge coverage
• Pediatric Gastroenterology consult service
• Epic EMR
• 50-bed pediatric hospital
• Average inpatient consult volume of 8–12 patients daily
• Weekend procedures performed only when clinically appropriate
• Long-term consistent assignment with excellent continuity

Weekend Coverage

Friday 3:00 PM – Monday 7:00 AM

Coverage includes:

• Pediatric GI consults
• Telephone call
• Inpatient rounding
• Admissions
• Emergency consultations
• Urgent endoscopy when medically necessary

Coverage occurs every weekend throughout the assignment.
