Opportunity Highlights

• Schedule:
  • Physician Shifts:
    • Monday: 7a-3p, 2p-10p, 9p-7a
    • Tuesday-Friday & Sunday: 7a-2:30p, 2p-9:30p, 9p-7a
    • Saturday: 7a-2p, 2p-9p, 9p-7a
    • Locums may work 12-hour shifts when operationally needed
  • APP Shifts:
    • Sunday-Wednesday: 10a-10p
    • Thursday-Friday: 10a-9p
    • Saturday: 11a-9p
• Job Setting: Emergency Department 
• Coverage Model:
  • Physician Coverage: Average 25 MD hours/day
  • APP Coverage: Average 11.43 NP/PA hours/day
• Additional Note: Marshall and Kilgore are part of the same hospital system. Candidates must be willing to work at both locations.
• Credentialing:
  • On-site hospital orientation required
  • Epic test-out available for Epic-proficient providers; Epic training required if proficiency cannot be demonstrated
  • Completion of Genesis modules required
  • Fit test required
  • OB Hypertension and Postpartum Hemorrhage training required via UpToDate
  • Hepatitis B series or titer
  • MMR series or titer
  • Tdap within last 10 years
  • Varicella series or titer
  • TB testing within last year
  • Flu vaccine required during flu season

Minimum Requirements

• Board Certified/Board Eligible:
  • Accepts ABEM, AOBEM, and ABFM
  • ABFM physicians must have at least 2 years of ED experience at facilities with annual volumes of 10,000+
  • Alternative boards not accepted
  • EM or FM residency trained required
• Certifications:
  • ATLS and ACLS required for non-boarded EM and FM physicians
  • EM boarded physicians do not need to maintain ATLS once boarded; initial ATLS required but does not need to be current
