Assignment Length: 6–9 Months
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Day Shifts | Call Required
Location: New York

We are seeking a Board-Certified General Cardiologist for a long-term locum opportunity with a well-established healthcare system in New York. This is an excellent opportunity for a provider looking for a consistent schedule, a primarily outpatient practice, and a collaborative clinical environment.

Position Highlights

  • Monday–Friday schedule
  • Day shifts: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Full-time coverage (4 weeks per month) highly preferred
  • Two providers working 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off will also be considered
  • Long-term assignment (6–9 months)
  • On-call coverage from 4:00 PM – 8:00 AM as needed to help fill coverage gaps
  • Opportunity to begin as soon as credentialing is complete

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Outpatient cardiology clinic (approximately 3 days per week)
  • Supervise cardiac stress testing (approximately 1 day per week)
  • Inpatient cardiology consults
  • Stress lab coverage
  • Hospital consult service on a rotating basis
  • Reading the nuclear portion of stress tests is preferred but not required

Practice Environment

  • Primarily solo cardiology practice
  • Work across outpatient and inpatient settings
  • Epic EMR
  • Acute care hospital environment

Requirements

  • Board Certified in Cardiology
  • Active New York Medical License
  • Epic experience required
  • AHA or RQI certification
  • Preference for 5+ years of cardiology experience
  • Ability to work in both outpatient and inpatient settings
  • Must have an up-to-date CV with complete work history and no employment gaps exceeding 30 days
  • If there is any malpractice history (dismissed or otherwise), a physician statement will be required
