About the Position
A well-established outpatient pediatric practice in Whitefield, New Hampshire is seeking a Locums Pediatric Physician to provide full-time coverage for approximately six months while the organization recruits a permanent provider. This is an excellent opportunity to practice the full spectrum of outpatient pediatrics in a collaborative, patient-focused environment dedicated to providing exceptional care for children and their families.
Position Highlights
- Assignment Length: Approximately 6
months (subject to permanent recruitment)
- Schedule: Monday–Friday,
8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Coverage: Full-time, 5
days per week (Monday–Friday schedule is required)
- Patient Volume: Average 18–22
patients per day

Pediatrics
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive pediatric care for newborns, infants, children, and adolescents
- Perform well-child exams, newborn care, immunizations, and routine preventive health visits
- Diagnose and treat acute illnesses, injuries, and chronic pediatric conditions
- Monitor growth, development, and developmental milestones while coordinating early interventions when appropriate
- Conduct preventive screenings and provide age-appropriate anticipatory guidance
- Educate parents and caregivers on nutrition, safety, child development, behavioral health, and disease prevention
- Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic studies
- Develop individualized treatment plans and prescribe medications using evidence-based pediatric guidelines
- Foster strong relationships with patients and families while promoting healthy growth and lifelong wellness
Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
- Active New Hampshire medical license preferred
- Candidates without a New Hampshire license or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) eligibility must obtain both a locum tenens license and a permanent New Hampshire license
- Current DEA registration
