About the Position

A well-established outpatient pediatric practice in Whitefield, New Hampshire is seeking a Locums Pediatric Physician to provide full-time coverage for approximately six months while the organization recruits a permanent provider. This is an excellent opportunity to practice the full spectrum of outpatient pediatrics in a collaborative, patient-focused environment dedicated to providing exceptional care for children and their families.

Position Highlights

  • Assignment Length: Approximately 6 months (subject to permanent recruitment)

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

  • Coverage: Full-time, 5 days per week (Monday–Friday schedule is required)

  • Patient Volume: Average 18–22 patients per day

  • Setting: Outpatient Pediatrics

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive pediatric care for newborns, infants, children, and adolescents

  • Perform well-child exams, newborn care, immunizations, and routine preventive health visits

  • Diagnose and treat acute illnesses, injuries, and chronic pediatric conditions

  • Monitor growth, development, and developmental milestones while coordinating early interventions when appropriate

  • Conduct preventive screenings and provide age-appropriate anticipatory guidance

  • Educate parents and caregivers on nutrition, safety, child development, behavioral health, and disease prevention

  • Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic studies

  • Develop individualized treatment plans and prescribe medications using evidence-based pediatric guidelines

  • Foster strong relationships with patients and families while promoting healthy growth and lifelong wellness

Qualifications

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics

  • Active New Hampshire medical license preferred

  • Candidates without a New Hampshire license or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) eligibility must obtain both a locum tenens license and a permanent New Hampshire license

  • Current DEA registration
