This 974-bed tertiary hospital is a JCAHO-accredited Level 1 Trauma Center operating as part of a regional health system. The facility maintains 24/7 inpatient neurosurgical support with an established clinical team. Infrastructure and protocols are in place to support continuous neurosurgical coverage across inpatient settings.

North Carolina offers a range of regional attractions suited to diverse interests, including outdoor recreation opportunities and year-round activities accessible throughout the state. Clinicians on assignment will find options for exploration and leisure across the region.

The physician associate will provide night shift inpatient neurosurgical coverage from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM on a one week on, one week off rotation beginning January 2027. Clinical responsibilities include managing admissions and discharges, responding to consultations, and providing OR first assist as desired; discharges at night are possible but not typical. The clinician will operate within a 974-bed tertiary, JCAHO-accredited, Level 1 Trauma Center alongside an established team of 9 neurosurgeons and 9 APPs providing 24/7 inpatient support. Current BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association are required, and board certification in neurological surgery is required for this assignment.
