About the Position

A well-established, patient-centered healthcare organization in Edmond, Oklahoma is seeking a compassionate and motivated Rheumatology Physician Assistant to join its growing team. This position offers the opportunity to provide specialized care for patients with rheumatologic and autoimmune conditions in a collaborative outpatient setting focused on high-quality, evidence-based medicine.

Position Summary

  • Full-time, on-site position
  • Monday through Friday schedule
  • Approximately 20 patients per day.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and physical examinations.
  • Diagnose and manage rheumatologic and autoimmune diseases in collaboration with supervising physicians and care team members.
  • Order, interpret, and communicate laboratory and diagnostic test results.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans.
  • Prescribe and manage medications, including monitoring efficacy and side effects.
  • Conduct follow-up visits and assess disease activity and treatment response.
  • Document patient encounters accurately and timely within the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Coordinate referrals and collaborate with specialists, primary care providers, and ancillary healthcare professionals.

Qualifications
  • NCCPA Certification
  • Eligibility for licensure and practice in the state of Oklahoma.
  • Provider experience in rheumatology, internal medicine, family medicine, or primary care.
  • Strong skills in patient assessment, diagnostic reasoning, medication management, and treatment planning.
