About the Position

We are seeking a Physician Assistant - Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery for a 30-day assignment in Texas, starting Aug 24, 2026. This role involves a mix of day and night 12-hour shifts, with duties focused on rounding in the ICU, managing patients post-ventilation, and a strong preference for OR experience with vein harvesting.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform CVT PA duties, including rounding in the ICU and managing patients coming off vents.
• Strong OR experience with vein harvesting is preferred.
• Rounding in ICU, pre and post-cardiac surgery, managing patients coming off of vents.
• Care for patients coming out of the OR with open hearts, VATS, and lung cases.
• Manage an average of 10-15 patients on service at any time.
• Work a mix of day and night 12-hour shifts.

Additional Information

• Board Certification required in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
• EMR: Epic.
