About the Position

Our client in Texas is seeking a skilled General Surgeon Physician for a 23-day assignment beginning Sep 4, 2026. This role involves seeing patients in the department and performing a comprehensive range of general surgical procedures, including laparoscopic surgeries, GI endoscopy, vascular surgery, hand surgery, chest procedures, and pacemaker insertions, with schedule details to be determined.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide general surgical care for adult patients, including trauma cases.
  • Perform laparoscopic procedures such as appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernioplasty, and Nissen fundoplication.
  • Conduct head/neck surgery, including thyroid procedures.
  • Perform chest wall/pleural procedures and breast surgery.
  • Execute GI endoscopy, including upper endoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, and colonoscopy.
  • Undertake hand surgery, ventilation management, chest tube insertion, and central line insertion.
  • Perform vascular surgery and pacemaker insertions.
  • Manage patients in the department, performing general surgery and related procedures as needed.


Additional Information

  • Board Certification in General Surgery is required.
  • EMR System: Medhost.
  • Completion of a 2-year fellowship is required.
  • Credentialing timeframe: 3 days.
