About the Position

CRNA Pediatric Dental Anesthesia Opportunity

🏥 Setting: Independent CRNA model at a laid-back critical access rural hospital with 2 ORs and strong dentist, MA, RN, and ER physician support.

🦷 Case Mix: Pediatric dental anesthesia only—teeth, fillings, and caps for primarily ages 2–12, including a large autism patient population. Nasal intubation/sedation cases.

📅 Schedule: 8 shifts/month, typically Mondays and Fridays, 6:00 AM–2:30/3:00 PM. About 12 cases/day split between 2 CRNAs, averaging 6 cases each.

💵 Pay: 8-hour paid guarantee per shift.

👥 Support: Three pediatric dentists rotate weekly/daily; team is described as helpful, easygoing, and willing to jump in when needed.

✅ Requirements: 2+ years pediatric experience required, plus BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and DEA.

📋 Charting: Cerner EMR with paper anesthesia charting. Nurses enter orders; CRNAs verify at day’s end.

🪪 Licensing: Facility will license; credentialing runs approximately 6–8 weeks.

🎓 Orientation: 8-hour orientation or 2–3 shadow cases to learn workflow; can orient Monday and work Friday if cleared.

ℹ️ Facility Note: General surgery and endoscopy run Tuesday–Thursday; pediatric dental cases are generally Monday/Friday.
