Job Requirements

• MD or DO required
• General Surgery board certified or board eligible
• Completion of an Abdominal Transplant Surgery Fellowship required
• At least 1 year of relevant post-training clinical experience required
• Ability to provide on-call coverage for kidney organ offers and transplant cases
• Comfort managing complex post-transplant patients, surgical complications, and infections

Responsibilities

• Review kidney organ offers and determine transplant availability
• Provide surgical coverage for kidney transplants and related procedures
• Round on current patients and provide post-operative inpatient care
• Manage post-transplant patients with complications or infections
• Collaborate with the hospital team to support continuity of care
• Respond to call coverage needs during the assigned coverage week
