About the Position
Our client in Pennsylvania is seeking a dedicated Family Practice Physician for a 60-day assignment, commencing Aug 10, 2026. This role involves comprehensive patient care during shifts typically from 7:30am to 4pm, including daily sick call rounds, weekly restricted housing unit rounds, and managing a variety of consults. The physician will provide care for general medical cases, perform sutures and splinting, and oversee advanced practice providers.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Conduct daily sick call rounds.
- Perform restricted housing unit rounds weekly.
- Manage a diverse range of consults, including physicals, emergencies, and admissions.
- Provide comprehensive care for general medical cases such as cold, cough, flu, bronchitis, and pain.
- Execute minor procedures including sutures and splinting.
- Oversee a infirmary unit, including IV treatments and oxygen monitoring.
- Supervise 3 Advanced Practice Providers (two full-time, one part-time).
- Manage medication and lead preventative health clinics during the first two weeks of each month.
- Provide chronic care management, referring extreme cases as necessary.
- Perform physicals annually for patients over 50 and every three years for those under 50.
- Complete accurate charting and EMR queue reviews.
- Review laboratory and x-ray results.
