About the Position
We are seeking a dedicated Family Practice Physician to serve as a Chief Medical Officer in Montana. This exciting 240-day assignment is set to begin on Nov 9, 2026, with a Monday through Friday, 8a-5p schedule. In this pivotal role, you will primarily focus on leadership, policy development, and strategic alignment, with the potential to also provide patient care.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Develop and implement medical policies and procedures to ensure quality patient care
- Lead and manage medical staff, providing guidance and support for professional development
- Ensure the medical service and provider culture embraces and demonstrates the value of being culturally resonant to community needs and practices
- Collaborate with executive leadership to align medical strategies with organizational goals
- Oversee regulatory compliance and ensure adherence to industry standards
- Drive initiatives to improve healthcare outcomes and patient satisfaction
- Represent the organization in medical conferences, meetings, and industry events.
- Provide clinical guidance to providers and ensure compliance with accreditation standards
- Participate in strategic planning and budgeting processes
- Coordinate with the Chief Information Officer to ensure IT needs are met
- Engage in community relationship building and represent the organization in public forums
Additional Information
- Board Certification in Family Medicine required.
- EMR: Dentrix
- This is primarily a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) position. There is an option to negotiate seeing patients in addition to CMO duties.
