Description
We are seeking a qualified Anesthesiologist for a locum tenens opportunity at an acute care hospital in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. This role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered anesthesia care across a broad range of surgical and procedural areas.
The ideal candidate must be experienced in regional block (nerve block) anesthesia, particularly for a high-volume orthopedic patient population. Providers will work collaboratively with CRNAs in a care team model and support a diverse surgical environment.

Job Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia services for a variety of surgical and procedural cases.
- Deliver anesthesia care across multiple specialties, including vascular, OB/GYN, general surgery, GI, pediatrics, plastics, orthopedics, robotics, and urology.
- Perform MAC, regional, spinal, and ultrasound-guided anesthesia techniques.
- Provide regional block (nerve block) anesthesia for high-volume orthopedic cases.
- Collaborate with CRNAs in a care team model with a 1:3 CRNA/room ratio.
- Support patient care for all age groups.
- Participate in weekday call coverage when needed (3 PM-7 AM).
- Maintain high-quality, patient-centered anesthesia practices.
Qualifications
- Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible (BE) in Anesthesiology.
- Active Pennsylvania medical license required at the time of presentation.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience preferred.
- ACLS and PALS certifications required.
- Must be able to perform regional anesthesia and nerve blocks.
- DEA: Not required.
- CSR: Not required.
- Clean credentialing file preferred.
- Temporary privileges may be available for candidates with a clean file.
- Credentialing timeframe: Approximately 90 days.
