Description

We are seeking a qualified Anesthesiologist for a locum tenens opportunity at an acute care hospital in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. This role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered anesthesia care across a broad range of surgical and procedural areas.

The ideal candidate must be experienced in regional block (nerve block) anesthesia, particularly for a high-volume orthopedic patient population. Providers will work collaboratively with CRNAs in a care team model and support a diverse surgical environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide anesthesia services for a variety of surgical and procedural cases.
  • Deliver anesthesia care across multiple specialties, including vascular, OB/GYN, general surgery, GI, pediatrics, plastics, orthopedics, robotics, and urology.
  • Perform MAC, regional, spinal, and ultrasound-guided anesthesia techniques.
  • Provide regional block (nerve block) anesthesia for high-volume orthopedic cases.
  • Collaborate with CRNAs in a care team model with a 1:3 CRNA/room ratio.
  • Support patient care for all age groups.
  • Participate in weekday call coverage when needed (3 PM-7 AM).
  • Maintain high-quality, patient-centered anesthesia practices.

Qualifications

  • Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible (BE) in Anesthesiology.
  • Active Pennsylvania medical license required at the time of presentation.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience preferred.
  • ACLS and PALS certifications required.
  • Must be able to perform regional anesthesia and nerve blocks.
  • DEA: Not required.
  • CSR: Not required.
  • Clean credentialing file preferred.
  • Temporary privileges may be available for candidates with a clean file.
  • Credentialing timeframe: Approximately 90 days.
