About the Position
Our client in Iowa is seeking a dedicated Psychiatry Nurse Practitioner for a 90-day assignment starting Aug 17, 2026. This role involves both 8a-5p and 5p-8a shifts, focusing on diagnosing, performing psychiatric assessments and physicals, conducting rounds, ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies, prescribing medications, and managing ongoing patient care through consultation with the psychiatrist. You will also handle ordering referrals, administrative duties, and coordination of care.
